While you play as a guest

Guests get one free round of each game. A free account unlocks every round. A guest profile and a session cookie remember your rounds in both games on this device. The cookie lasts up to 400 days and is renewed as you return. Your browser may clear it sooner. Clearing it can make unregistered progress inaccessible. A free account keeps your rounds accessible on other devices.

When you create an account

Oddly stores your username, nickname, avatar, game history, guesses, scores, XP, badges and daily results. Your password and recovery code are stored as cryptographic hashes. Keep your recovery code safe. You need it to reset your password.

No email address, date of birth, school or location is requested. Choose a nickname that does not identify you.

When you continue with Google

Oddly uses Google's account identifier to recognize you on future visits. We do not request your Gmail, contacts, email address or Google profile name. New players receive an editable nickname. Your Google password stays with Google. New accounts keep their guest rounds; signing into an existing account restores that account's progress.

You can delete a Google-only Oddly account from your profile by confirming with the connected Google account. This does not delete your Google account.

What other players can see

Your registered profile is public. It includes your username, nickname, avatar, level, rank, badges and summary play statistics. Daily standings show eligible scores. Your private game history, password and recovery code are not included in public profiles.

A challenge link lets someone play the same questions in the same order. It does not give them access to your account.

What stays in your browser

Your sound preference is saved in this browser. Calculator notes and recent calculations stay in this tab's session storage. They are not sent to the game server. Closing the tab normally clears that scratchpad.

Manage your progress

From your own profile, you can change your nickname or avatar and export your game data. Account deletion requires your password and removes your account and progress from the active game database. This cannot be undone in the game.

Previously shared copies of a challenge in other players' accounts remain theirs. Earlier copies of your data may remain in operator backups until those backups are removed.

Connections and basic protection

This version of Oddly does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics. It uses network addresses temporarily to limit excessive requests. Our server keeps standard request logs (network address, page, browser type and referring page) for up to 30 days to count visits and protect the site. They are not used for advertising or shared.
