While you try the game

A guest profile and a session cookie keep your two-question trial together. The cookie identifies this browser session and expires after 30 days. Clearing it can make an unregistered trial inaccessible.

When you create an account

Oddly stores your username, nickname, avatar, game history, guesses, scores, XP, badges and daily results. Your password and recovery code are stored as cryptographic hashes. Keep your recovery code somewhere safe: it is how you recover an account if you forget its password.

No email address, date of birth, school or location is requested. Choose a nickname that does not identify you.

What other players can see

Your registered profile is public. It includes your username, nickname, avatar, level, rank, badges and summary play statistics. Daily standings show eligible scores. Your private game history, password and recovery code are not included in public profiles.

A challenge link lets someone play the same questions in the same order. It does not give them access to your account.

What stays in your browser

Your sound preference is saved in this browser. Calculator notes and recent calculations stay in this tab’s session storage. They are not sent to the game server. Closing the tab normally clears that scratchpad.

Manage your progress

From your own profile, you can change your nickname or avatar and export your game data. Account deletion requires your password and removes your account and progress from the active game database. This cannot be undone in the game.

Previously shared copies of a challenge in other players’ accounts remain theirs. Earlier copies of your data may remain in operator backups until those backups are removed.

Connections and basic protection

This version of Oddly does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics. It uses network addresses temporarily to limit excessive requests. The hosting service may keep its own request logs. Opening a source link takes you to that publisher’s website.
